Kid Rock Is Mourning The Loss Of His Father

Most of us who know Kid Rock really think about his music and not much else. He has made a name for himself in rather interesting ways, but he is still a man and in the background, he has family that he loves and they care for him.

Unfortunately, he recently went on Twitter to share the sad news that his father, Billy Ritchie, had passed away. kid rock’s father was 82 years old and he died as a result of prostate cancer. He had dealt with the disease for 14 years but gave in on February 15, 2024.

When Kid Rock went on Twitter to give the news about his father’s death, he wrote: “My Dad, Bill Ritchie Sr, moved on to be with Jesus yesterday. He was an incredible father, grandfather, great grandfather, and so much more, none shy of being quite the character! Thank you for your condolences in advance. God Bless you and I love you Pop!.”

The musician’s brother, Billy Ritchie Junior, spoke about his late father. He had passed away peaceably at the home he owned in Florida.

Richie worked as an auto dealer in Detroit. He was known as being an inspirational speaker and did very well in a meeting. He sold his dealership in 1990 and moved to Florida to retire.

Despite the fact that Kid Rock had a lot of good to say about his father, he didn’t always get along with him. He wanted to focus on his music and he turned down the chance to work with his dad at is dealership.

Despite the fact that they had their ups and downs, Kid Rock gave his father the credit for what he was able to do.

We feel bad for the family and hope that all of them are able to find comfort during a difficult time.
