Joanne Harrison, Rick Harrison’s mother from the world-famous “Pawn Stars,” has filed a civil case against her son and connected corporate entities.
The lawsuit is about disagreements about the assets and ownership of the company in Las Vegas that was on the reality TV show.
According to court filings, Harrison’s lawyers have launched a civil lawsuit in a Nevada state court, naming as defendants his mother, himself, Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, Harrison Properties, and JoRich Properties.
Rick Harrison, the late Richard Harrison’s son, famous as “The Old Man” on the TV show “Pawn Stars,” has refuted charges that he abused his 81-year-old mother, Joanne.
According to a breach-of-contract complaint filed against him, she was married to her spouse for an astounding 58 years until his death.
Rick is charged with using too much pressure to get her to give him most of her share in the pawnshop while she was in the hospital in 2000 or 2001.
Notwithstanding these allegations, Rick is sure that they are false and unjustified.
The History Channel presented a segment in 2009 in which the family’s grandson, Richard Corey Harrison, and a close friend, Austin “Chumlee” Russell, traveled to the pawn store.
Joanne Harrison purchased Richard’s 49 percent interest in the company shortly after his death in 2018. On the other hand, Rick Harrison has yet to give her exact financial details on the company.
Additionally, Joanne maintains that she is unable to acquire a full accounting of the more than $500,000 in cash and silver that her husband allegedly accumulated before his death.
So, she is asking for specific damages and an order telling Rick he can’t touch her money and putting all of Joanne’s belongings in trust.
