Melissa McCarthy is one of those celebrities that seems to be in the limelight more often than not. It isn’t just the fact that she wins awards and is well known for her parks in movies, she has also lost a considerable amount of weight.

The 53-year-old actress is looked at with scrutiny by many people, especially those on social media. She had a difficulty in the past with self acceptance and it wasn’t long before she was trying to do something about it.

Unfortunately, things took a turn when she decided to show off her weight loss by wearing an unusual long silver metallic dress to the SAG awards. The dress, complete with puffed sleeves, drew a lot of attention.

Many people who would otherwise say something positive about her weight loss would go on to say that she looked completely different. They said that she could’ve done better or that the dress was just a big no.

Others, however, were quick to come to her defense, saying that she looked amazing. They also called her one of the kindest celebrities and noted that the dress was beautiful.

You never quite know how people are going to react and unfortunately, it can really take a celebrity by surprise. McCarthy is one of those people who would just continue to come back for more, and we wish her all the best in her life and in her health efforts.
