When it comes to famous American actors, it’s difficult to top what Kent McCord was able to do for his fans. It started back in 1968 when he was on the series Adam-12, and that was the year that he also married his wife, Cynthia.
Kent McCord was born in 1942 in downtown Los Angeles, California at French Hospital. He began working at a gas station with his father when he was 10 years old and eventually, got a job at an airport in 1954.
When he was 12 years old, he wasn’t able to be paid legally so they gave him flying lessons. He worked at the airport for five years and eventually, began playing football in his high school. He eventually would go to the University of Southern California to be a football coach and physical education instructor.
As luck would have it, he did play a game of touch football in a team captained by Ricky Nelson. Elvis Presley was in charge of the other team. He then became friends with Ricky and ended up in The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet. He was also in some Elvis movies, including Viva Las Vegas.
Over the years, he has been in many shows, including some that did quite well. He won some awards for his acting but his biggest award was his family.
In all, he is well known for living a very low profile lifestyle but he will speak to his fans at any opportunity. He has even hosted online discussions with his fans, especially during COVID-19.
Both of his daughters are now actresses, with one of them even appearing with him on Adam 12.
He went on to have a son just a few days before the final episode of Adam 12 was on the air. It was a lot of work, but he continues to be a big part of his family’s life. It’s nice to see a celebrity relationship last this long.
