Bon Jovi had married with his wife, his highschool sweethear, Dorothea on the 29th of April, 1989. During that time, Bon Jovi was climbing the ladders of success in his career, with his album, New Jersey.
Jon Bon Jovi had proposed to Dorthea, spontaneously as he suggested eloping while they were at the St. James Club, as he revealed in 2010, in his interview with Men’s Health. They got married at the Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas.
As they were eloped, many of Bon Jovi’s fans were upset as they wanted Bon Jovi to be single. Jon’s manager was unhappy too, as he wanted him to stay single, and stated that it wouldn’t be a good move for his career.
“America wasn’t happy on that Monday when they found out about the wedding, and a lot of people tried to ruin a beautiful thing. They tried to cheat us out of that moment,” Bon Jovi said in 2018.
In their decades long of relationship, they had four children. 28-year-old Jesse, 19-year-old Romeo Jon, 30-year-old Stephanie Rose, and 21-year-old Jake.
As the couple grown up tohetger, they had an incredible bond. They both worked hard for their marriage, and for each other.
Bon Jovi is happy with his family, and he works for them and contribute in their lives. Bon Jovi will be named MusiCares Person of the Year in 2024, as he is a big name in the industry.
With his wife, Dorothea, Bon Jovi had founded Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation in 2006. They help to the people who are suffering from injustice, hunger and homelessness. The foundation has their Soul Kitchen’s which are on a pay-what-you-can model.
As the couple are staying away from the spotlight, paparazzi had photographed them in their date at Giorgia Baldi, in Santa Moica. “He is way too good looking for her, always has been!” a person wrote for them.
“Thought she was his mom.” another added.
“Good for them, they obviously have something special together after 35 years.”
